Some Afternoon Humor And A Personal Update

This card… is hilarious. And RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!!! LOL! I love it!

SO, a few things I wanted to update you all on.

We had Liam’s kid birthday party over the weekend – it was a Pump it Up and it was magical. You walked in – handed the woman your credit card – and then went right to the party. Everything was taken care of: cake, favors, food for adults, set up. You name it. I was like… why haven’t I heard of this place before? Absolutely beautiful.

I chickened out of the hot air balloon ride with Hershey’s this week. Bill is going to go in my place. All I kept thinking about was my vertigo and how I was going to pay for that ride for at least 2 days. I rather play it safe. Unfortunately, I am missing out on a wonderful opportunity – but at least Bill will get to experience it. I am really upset about this one, but I can’t help who I am and how my body reacts to certain things. ;(

The 17 Day Diet worked – but as soon as I stopped my body went right back to where I was before I started. I don’t think it’s smart to omit so many different types of foods from your diet. I mean no carbs and hardly any fat? How can you live like that? It’s really all about moderation. And my aunt (who is a nutritionist) has been telling me this since I was 13 years old. It’s funny that it took me this long to finally hear her.

Sadly, I am on the last book of the ‘Black Dagger Brotherhood’. It was an 8 or 9 book series and I have to say that I am SO VERY SAD that it’s ending. I have fallen in love with all of the characters and do not want to let them go. If you like vampires… and don’t mind reading a little raunch… this is the series for you. T-R-U-S-T M-E. I mean – I’m pretty much stopping everyone I know or see just to tell them to get these books. What a story!

For a while, I was writing a book. I didn’t tell anyone – not even Bill. It was my private thing that I would do at night and I really liked the story that I created. I stopped for a few months for whatever reason and then I started to read JR Ward. After Zsadist’s story I thought to myself – “this is why I stopped – because I could never create this”. If that isn’t a compliment to her, I don’t know what is.

This month I have a few trips planned. I’m going to see Audrey in Rhode Island for two days. I’m heading to BlogHer in San Diego (without the kids or Bill) for 5 days and then I’m going to Block Island for my 10 year anniversary with another couple (hey Tracy!!). Besides that, I’ve been attempting to get on a few press trips. I figured – why not!? So, right now I have two applications in  – one for Egypt (which is a mega long shot) and one for Mexico. I would really love to get into travel blogging more and I figured the only way to do that … is to TRY. 🙂

Oh and my newest addiction is Bingo Blitz on Facebook. Yeah, I can’t stop playing this darn game. I mean – OBSESSED. If you play – ADD ME ON YOUR TEAM!!!

That’s it for now – I will do another update next week. 🙂

I too tried the 17 day diet and lasted like 10 days.. I couldn’t handle the restrictions. I’m just doing a clean eating plan now. Low carb, high lean protein, veggies and fruits. I thought I’d live that book series, I read the first 2 and then stopped. Couldn’t get into it. Thanks for the tip tho!
