Sharing Pictures On Social Media And Adding Filters Using The Panasonic LUMIX ZS40 Camera

While attending the Traveling Moms conference in Disney last week, I was gifted the Panasonic LUMIX ZS40 Camera. We were asked to walk around Hollywood Studios and explore the park all while using the camera and testing out the available functions. I was not only able to manipulate images before and after taking the shot, but I was also able to transfer the photos to my phone so I could immediately upload them to my social media channels.

For someone who is social media obsessed, this was a big deal. I hardly ever use a REAL camera anymore because I NEED to be able to share my photos at will. The LUMIX ZS40 changes everything! I can have high quality photos AND have the ability to share them immediately after recording.

It was a rainy day at Hollywood Studios. Here is the first picture I took as soon as we walked into the entrance. Stunning, right? The picture has a filter on it (what shared photo doesn’t these days, right?). How SUPER that I am able to do all of this through the menu of the Panasonic LUMIX ZS40 Camera!

And trust me, it’s easy to swap through the options. All you have to do is turn the dial on the front of your camera while you are looking through the lens. You can watch the visual change right before your eyes. As soon as you see something you like, stop spinning and snap the photo. If you don’t like what you decided on, you can always go back and edit the photo after it has been snapped.

Here’s another shot I took using the camera. I added a filter and then transferred it to my phone so I could upload it to my Instagram account right on the spot. I wouldn’t have been able to get such definition from my iPhone 5.

So, how do you share photos online? It’s all through WiFi. You have to set up the WiFi connection once — and it’s easy to do. From that point on, all you have to do is go to Settings –> Connections and choose your camera’s WiFi signal. Once the two devices are connected, you can select the photos you want to transfer and begin to share! I love it!

Here are some specs about the camera:

  • 18.1 Megapixels
  • Eye level viewfinder (EVF) for improved viewing and stability.
  • Leica 30X Super Zoom (24-720mm) stabilized for still & HD Video
  • Lens mounted control ring for improved feature control versatility.
  • Future Proofed with GPS and WiFi with NFC
