Roper Romp is a themed bar crawl held in cities across the country where participants dress as characters from Three’s Company, with a MAJOR focus on the eccentric and fabulous Mrs. Roper. I’d say 95% of the crowd came as Mrs. Roper.
It’s a mix of costume party, pub crawl, and retro throwback that draws TV lovers, vintage enthusiasts, and fun-loving locals together for a full day of bar-hopping, trivia games, food, and drinks.
While this is a nationwide event, I attended the one right here on Long Island, in the lively town of Babylon, which provided the perfect backdrop with its walkable streets and welcoming bars.

My Roper Romp Outfit: Amazon Finds That Nailed the Look
Half the fun is getting into character, and I went full Mrs. Roper mode. You know, big hair, bold patterns, and even bolder jewelry. Here’s what I ordered to create the perfect costume (all easily found on Amazon):
- Red curly wig – her signature hair is a must!
- Colorful boho caftan – the louder the print, the better.
- Chunky beaded jewelry – oversized earrings and layered necklaces were essential.
Tip: If you’re planning to attend next year, don’t wait until the last minute to grab your look. These items sell out fast as the event gets more popular each year! And you WANT A GOOD WIG. I had WIG ENVY ALL AFTERNOON.

We spent the afternoon hopping from bar to bar, laughing with friends, making new ones, and snapping photos everywhere we went. Each location had themed drinks, trivia questions about Three’s Company, and plenty of people cheering each other on for best-dressed.
Babylon really came through with the perfect mix of fun venues, great food, and a walkable layout that made the event feel festive from start to finish.
