Ivana Helsinki S/S ’11

My last show (Thusday, 9pm) of the Fashion Week was Ivana Helsinki’s “where the f*ck is my sailor” collection. It was an interesting name, but once I got there it got even more interesting!

It was the first time I was assigned to a first row seat! What a great view and a chance to take good pictures. I can definitely get used to it.

What stood out to me the most were the models. They weren’t your typical Fashion Week models, these girls were different in terms of body structures and minor imperfections which we all can relate to and that makes it more realistic! It was refreshing to see and I think it gives an edge to the brand.

The collection was very resort-ish, as though the girls just came off the yacht. I loved the anchor prints and twisted ropes on dresses and shoes.
