Irene Is Rocking My World: My Latest Anxiety Rant (VIDEO)

These aren’t Hurricane Irene tips! This is just me talking about how I’m incapable of doing anything else but watch the news. It’s also a big thank you to my husband – who unlike you cannot walk away from my anxiety attacks. LOL!

Vera- Having a grill, either charcoal or gas, is a good idea because if you have no power, you may as well be cooking and eating your meat rather than throwing it away because it’s rotting. I live in AL and we had no power for 7 days after the tornadoes in the spring. It was sickening to have to throw everything in the freezer away because it went bad. Hang in there!

I can totally sympathize and relate to how you are feeling. Thank God I was not blogging in 2005 after Katrina, because I was a total LOON! I, too, am a control freak and always need answers and a definite plan. But there was NONE of that and I was out of control!

Just wanted to say that I definitely don’t think it’s crazy to stress, but you WILL get through this and life will return to normal. Big Hugs!

Vera, I completely get it. In my house I am Bill and hubby is you! Lol. He even wanted to buy a $600 generator. I was like let’s not get crazy now! We are in Delaware about 50 moles from the beach. Rain just started here. Spent the morning outside with kids getting some last min fresh air. Love love your blog! Thx for keeping me entertained! STAY SAFE!!

Want to hear something Hurricane related thats kinda funny?

NYC has three zones. Mandatory Evacuation zone, the ‘You should go Zone’, and the “You are okay, kinda but you could be flooded” zone. So MY street between 31st and 29th Street is a zone split in the middle of the road. The building across the street, Zone 3. Hurricane fun zone. No potential trouble! You should see the map… split right down the street.

You guys will be fine. Though the grill doesn’t sound like a bad idea. 1. Who doesn’t like basement burgers? and 2. If the house does go up into a fiery blaze, Irene will put it out lickity split.
