Over the weekend, Audrey McClelland and I invited 20 friends for a day of shopping and adventure at Foxwoods Casino and Resorts. We promised them a full afternoon of activity and boy did it happen! If you are looking to put together a weekend for you and your friends, this is the place for you!
My pal Cheryl and I got there a little early and hit the tables for an hour before the group met. You know I had to play a little roulette! How could we pass up a $5 minimum? Amazing!
After we cashed in our winnings, we headed straight to the new Tanger Outlets – over 80 stores to choose from.
I wrapped up my holiday shopping. I bought Vineyard Vines pajamas for me and my husband, Under Armor gear for all the boys in my family (and PS – how awesome is the fact that they offer up a 10% discount to the military??), picked up a few great pieces at Forever 21 and even got some fun finds at the “As Seen on TV” shop. Honestly – I LOVE THAT PLACE! I always want to order from those commercials but never do because of the shipping. When I find this store, I RUN in and stack UP! 
My LARGEST score was from J Crew though and I wasn’t the only one. I think almost everyone from our group picked up a new statement necklace. They were so beautiful and priced RIGHT.
And carrying all those bags walking around felt like a good workout! LOL!

The girls took a break and we indulged on a wonderful lunch with champagne. The food was delicious. We all went back for seconds and I’m not ashamed to admit that! 😉
And then… the thing that I never thought would actually happen… was getting me on the ice. Yes, I went ice skating. I mean, I wasn’t officially a pro or anything. I held onto the ledge until my knuckles turned white, but the rest of the group did just fine. I have control issues. What can I say? They were spinning and lifting their legs and tossing themselves all over the place and I was finding Jesus every three seconds. I’m not that adventurous, but I laughed the entire time and made a great memory. That’s all you can ask for!

Here’s our full group (ok, not quite – two women had to leave before the photo). Everyone was so wonderful and they really loved the space. With so much to do, I am sure that everyone will return with their families! 
And PS – right before I left, I found a toy shop that had all these really cute gift ideas for the kids. It was just one of the many Foxwoods stores that were available to visit.
