From decorative motifs to laser cut suede, Tadashi Shoji introduced new concepts into his Fall/Winter 2014 collection, maintaining his flawless signature flow that makes his gowns so desirable. The collection did not lack in variety of cuts and styles (a treat for every figure and preference). Although the mood of this collection was predominantly set by darker colors, a few brighter ones popped up here and there.

Where capes were a noticeable trend among the collections to grace the runway as a whole this season, Tadashi Shoji was no exception. From scarlet shades of red, to midnight blue hues, draping capes with Moorish conceptual textiles didn’t miss a beat. Never one to deny the bridal end of things, Shoji captured a more casual bride in off-white, celebrating the female form in a toned-down manner.

The collection was overall consistent with Tadashi Shoji’s mastery of the female form, inventing precision in his execution. A presentation which featured wearable designs for every woman, the collection exhibited a sense of practicality, beauty, and red carpet finesse.
