Disney’s Playmation is going to change our lives. How is that for a testimonial?!
You know when your watching a movie and you see a scene and you think to yourself that the science fiction you are watching is possible and will probably happen in your lifetime? Well, when I was watching the Playmation demo, I saw endless possibilities of where this technology could take us. Meaning — this is going to lead us to virtual gaming. The kind where you need to put glasses on your head to transport you to another world. Playmation will start this all for us.
Do you understand what I am saying???
Step 1. Right here. Amazing.
As a gamer, my heart was racing watching it all. I felt like I was watching Tron in the 80s. I felt like a kid again seeing what could happen. And then I wanted to play Playmation for real – like without anyone in the room because this = my alley. Disney’s Playmation is the b-o-m-b and I cannot wait to get it home so the kids and I can have endless adventures.
Ok! Let’s talk about the ACTUAL game as it is TODAY. Disney’s Playmation currently showcases Marvel’s Avengers. Moving forward, you can expect Star Wars in 2016 and then Frozen in 2017. LOTS to look forward to.
So, how does it work. You don’t need ANY WiFi. You just need what comes in your starter kit and some batteries. Kids turn the machine on and listen for instructions. When the console tells them to jump, they LITERALLY HAVE TO JUMP. When they are told to run, the child have to run around in circles until the activity is considered complete.
No more just laying around on the couch. Disney – every parent in the Universe THANKS YOU!
You don’t NEED to download the APP, but you should. The app gives you a ton of information about what you’ve achieved, what devices you’ve unlocked and what villains are taunting you to come back and defeat them.

Two more quick notes:
Two players can play a sequence at once. HOWEVER, you can have a ton of kids shooting at one another and having their devices respond to one another. They just won’t log any scores. It will only make the sounds as if they’ve been hit. So, if the kids want to go on their own adventure without the console, they can do that and have sound effects working.
Think about it — going to grandma’s house, camping, the beach. Bring this with you!! No plugs. No wifi!! Remember that! This game will travel!!!
