Daily Diary: Mother’s Day Fun And Dressing Up Like My Daughter

So… this just happened.

My daughter asked me on Sunday if we could dress alike for Mother’s Day. We have NEVER done this before (except for that one time we did a Calypso St. Barth shoot) and I thought it would be cute. I mean… how many more years do I have with her at this stage, right?

She was already wearing red stretch pants and I knew I had a pair of red jeans. After that, we just sort of figured it out. And Natalie was in her glory. If I’m being honest, I thought it was the cutest thing. I think I might try to do it a few more times this year.  Lily Pulitzer here we come!!

I have no pictures with my kids. I have no pictures with my husband. The day just sort of flew by! All these shots are from my mother’s camera who was running around and documenting every movement we made. I’m thankful for that because I was SO TIRED yesterday that I didn’t take a SINGLE PICTURE. I can’t believe I forgot to take a family photo! How ridiculous! I’m pretty sure this is the first year that I don’t have one.

It’s not the end of the world, but it proves that I was simply wiped.

Great day with both sides of the family. The weather was thankfully on our side. I love the spring (when it acts like spring and not like winter).
