Daily Diary: Liam Is HOME (Now We Start Phase Two)

Look who is home! So VERY happy to post this picture because all of my babies are back together again under ONE roof.  Liam was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon and has been playing the XBox every since. He isn’t ready to go back to school just yet. We need to keep him home for a few days to build up his strength. Then on Monday we’ll go to see his real doctor.

We have a few weeks of meds scheduled and then have surgery in about a month.

So, it’s a long road… but a manageable one. I will take it for sure! We are no longer connected to the IV and we are no longer getting poked and prodded every few hours. So very happy! Liam is too.

Last night, we had once big mess happen after the other. Caleb threw his toys in the toilet, a carton of milk spilled and while playing Jenga a glass of juice was thrown all over the floor and table. You know what? It didn’t matter. No one cared. Because we were together again.

Any other day, I would have seen red I am sure! But not last night.

I’m not going to work much today — just going to take two calls and then I will most likely play video games with Liam until Natalie comes home. He has to rest today and drink lots of liquids. That’s all Bill and I keep saying,

“Are you drinking? Are you drinking? Did you drink?”

On repeat. Broken record. He has to stay hydrated. Happy and hydrated. Easy enough.
