Custo Barcelona Spring 2013 Runway #NYFW Show: Field Report

It was a retro rewind at the Custo Barcelona Spring 2013 runway show on Sunday. The always outgoing line debuted its collection with bold patterns, bright colors, and lots of texture and fringe. Paired with tinted visors and long sleek hair, the season begs of a return to the ‘70s.

The collection is fun and flirty in its hippie chic roots. Mesh tank tops and transparent fabrics accommodate the layered look, while the flow that strutted the runway exhibit flawless execution.

No creative thought was spared this season- each geometric pattern was carefully considered, and every color from pastels to the neon family were explored.

Men weren’t excluded from this party- vests and high-water pants make a significant statement in bright patterns.

Perhaps the greatest success of this line was how the dresses complemented the female figure. The textures did not take away from the shape or form. A definite fan of this line: front-row attendee Alexa Ray Joel looked on with approval.
