What fun!! My kids (and my husband) had the time of their LIVES! Bill is still talking about yesterday like it was the greatest moment of his life. LOL!

Ok, so I’m from Queens. Lived their until I had my second child. Shea Stadium was a STAPLE – something I grew up going to, driving by – you get the point. When it became Citi Field… I was infuriated. I was so angry that they demolished the original stadium. That is, until I actually VISITED Citi Field. What a transformation!! I mean – Shea was NOTHING compared to how BEAUTIFUL Citi Field turned out. It feel like there was so much history behind those walls and the stadium is just a few years old. When I walked in the doors, I felt like I became part of something amazing.

And just to pay homage to the old stadium, they left markers in the parking lot where the original bases used to be. Kids were jumping on top of them and running around like the real Mets did for all those years. I LOVED THAT!

As part of Citibank’s “Our Promise to NY” campaign, the bank hosted a Kids Day at Citi Field and INO Mommy was invited to attend. 300 children from The Boys and Girls Club of America and local YMCAs got a private look inside the stadium. What a blast!

Mr. Met was on hand to take pictures and Radio Disney’s NY crew entertained the kids with music, games and special prizes.

(I’m sure when Liam gets older – he will appreciate this shot)

Then as if the day couldn’t get better – we got to head into the lockers! The GRIN that was on Bill’s face – you gotta love it.

We even were allowed to run around in the Mets’ batting cage. I think this was Natalie’s favorite part of the day.

I had an amazing time with my blogging buddies! One to definitely remember.
