Ravello, Italy: So Beautiful I Thought It Was A Movie Set

When my family walked up the flight of stairs that led to Ravello, we had zero expectations of what we would find. Our hotel – the Eden Roc in Positano – recommended that we visited the area… so we went! When we reached the top and surveyed the area, I actually thought for a split second that I was on a movie set.

Because this can’t possibly be real?

I mean it was all too perfect. Children playing soccer in front of the church. Little mom and pop shops busy tidying up their sidewalks, gelato being enjoyed by many, families eating lunch outside. It was storybook fabulous.

Every corner offered up something new. Ravello really isn’t that large, so you can’t get lost even if you tried. We spent a little under 2 hours roaming the streets and shopping the local haunts. There was something so very romantic about this village. While I wouldn’t recommend spending a week here,  you should most certainly plan to visit if you vacation on the Amalfi Coast in the near future. Get a hotel in Positano – but please visit Ravello while you are there. We stopped here after spending the morning in Pompeii.

And you know we freaking had gelato! I’m not kidding – we had gelato twice a day. TWICE A DAY. It was mandatory!
