INO Mommy was invited to attend a blogger event at the NY Hall of Science. I am originally from Queens, so I used to frequent the the NYHOS as a child. When I walked through the doors I was flooded with wonderful memories of going with my mother and neighborhood friends.
But so much has changed! I couldn’t get over how many new sections there were to explore. The New York Hall of Science features more than 450 interactive exhibits, including the award-winning Science Playground, Preschool Place, and the new Rocket Park Mini Golf.
We even had a chance to meet Sid the Science Kid! I cropped the rest of us out because I looked… not my best. Let’s just leave it at that.
(Liam pulling with all his strength – didn’t budge the light at all. LOL! Too cute)
Natalie and Liam were running around like animals completely excited to see what the next display could do. My children are 4 and 2, so obviously there were parts of the museum that were really for older children. It didn’t stop the fun though.

For parents of younger children there is Preschool Place – a blocked off section where our little ones can run around and enjoy themselves while the parents rest easy knowing they can’t leave the area.
Then… we went outside. Holy awesome-ness (my made up word of the day)!! The playground BLEW MY MIND. I mean, we walked out there and my mouth just dropped. What an adventure! My kids zipped and zoomed all over the place. What an incredible addition!

Even I want to go play on that playground. It looks ridiculous!!!
That looks so cool! 🙂 So, how “older” would you say the older kids' area is?
That looks like so much fun! I have a 10 year old sister that's a nut for science. I was wondering if this is a place for kids of all ages? If so I would love to take her 🙂
Aww, what a great photo of us. I had so much hanging with you and your family.
I would say 6 to 12 is a pretty good range
she is the perfect age
I used to work there years ago when I was in college- it was lots of fun- great review
