What I Got For Valentine’s Day:

While I was getting ready for my full day in the city, my husband made me heart toast for breakfast.

Then my aunt sent me this poem written by one of my favorite authors, Eckhart Tolle.

Love is a state of Being.
Your
love is not outside; it is deep within you.
You can never lose it, and it cannot leave you.
It is not dependent on some other body, some external form.
In the stillness of your Presence, you can feel your own formless and timeless reality
as the unmanifested life that animates your physical form.
You can then feel the same life deep within every other human and every other creature.
You look beyond the veil of form and separation.
This is the realization of oneness.
This is
love.”

~ Eckhart Tolle
All You Need is Love

That full day kicked the you know what out of me. I called Bill as I was driving home and asked him to order my favorite food for dinner – Colombian. He said he already did and it will be here by the time I got home. 😉

After dinner, I helped the kids open up their Valentine’s Day cards from school. Bill went to our bedroom and secretly ran a hot bath for me. Told me to go and relax.

… Best Valentine’s Day ever.

The best Valentine's Day present isn't a big romantic gesture or a huge bouquet of roses -- it's the man that shows he loves you by giving you exactly what we need.

Seba brought me Starbucks yesterday. Perfect present :)
