The First EVER Conde Nast Traveler Institute

In total apropos style and amid the elegant lacquered paneling at the illustrious Harvard Club in NYC, the ultimate jet set mag and authority in premium travel Conde Nast Traveler and cruising powerhouse Royal Caribbean International announced their premier partnership and the first ever Conde Nast Traveler Institute: a free certification course for travel agents who specialize in cruises.

The CN Traveler Institute, presented by Royal Caribbean International, will be available online, beginning September 18, 2014, as a free video course offered to all interested travel agents.  Uniquely, each of the four courses will be hosted by a lifestyle and travel expert and focus on the main cornerstones of a memorable cruise.  Courses will include Lyss Stern of blogging sensation Diva Moms discussing the best way to travel with family, New Orleans born-chef David Guas covering on board and home meal prep, Mary Giuliani, celebrity event planner, discussing key style points of your meetings and special events while CN Traveler contributing editor Mark Ellwood expertly speaks to all things world cruise travel and ship experience.

Upon successful completion of the course, travel agents receive the much trusted Conde Nast Traveler Institute seal, certificate, pin and invitations for onboard events exclusive for graduates.

Being part of a family that loves cruises and a long time reader and fan of trusted CN Traveler, I look forward to working with a travel professional carrying the new seal and certification….and as a mom/lifestyle blogger, these kinds of new and interesting brand extensions and cross collaborations team with great synergistic possibilities.  It’s really wonderful to see successful bloggers flexing their expert authority and helping to provide value services and input to broader consumers.
