Tamara Pogosian Spring 2011 Show

Armenian-born Tamara Pogosian showed her latest collection of glitzy gowns during NY Fashion Week. If you like simple silhouettes in anything shiny, this is the collection for you. It started with a floor-length dark silver gown, with a fitted bodice and full flared skirt. This dress is dramatic and not for a wall flower. If this is your choice, you should make sure everything is tucked in where it should be. Next was a basic black and white shift, worn correctly with booties and simple hair. This is a great item to have in your wardrobe because its simple and is a complete outfit by itself. In the same material as the first dress was a mini with flared sleeves and a gathered bodice. The exposed back was an interesting surprise. A light silver dress was done in an unexpected silhouette: halter neck and flared falling above the knee. The red dress was a saucy number, with a short flared skirt, a cinched waist and bustier top.
