SnackTaxi offers a very lovely line of reusable sacks for snacks, sandwiches and now even produce. You can even purchase a make your own snackTAXI set which offers 6 snack sized pouches and 6 markers so you or your child can customize the pouches. I love this. Not only do you have all of their wonderful patterns to choose from, but you can design your own sacks and make them even easier for your child to know which one goes back in his or her lunchbox. Not to mention that perhaps if they draw their own designs, they might just be that more careful about not leaving them behind on the table at school.
The snack and sandwich sacks are well sized and are available in a wide variety of patterns that are both child and adult friendly. The closure is a simple fold and velcro combination which keeps everything inside and is still really easy for little hands to open and close on their own. We’ve used them for both school lunch and outing snacks and we all love them. The snack-sack (6″W x 4.5″H) sells for $6.95 and the sandwich-sack (7.5″W x 6″H) sells for $8.95. SnackTAXI sacks are well made, durable and easy to clean (hand or machine washable). Not only are they safer for your children and the environment, they are made in Massachusetts in the owner, Erin Kelly-Dill’s home-based workshop by local sewers. Also available are the reusable produce bags, napkins and a lunch sack. Please visit SnackTAXI for more information.
