Rubbing Elbows With Chanel Iman, Rachel Roy, And Judges For L.e.i. Model Citizen Contest

INO Mommy was invited to join Chanel Iman, Rachel Roy, and other judges for L.e.i. Model Citizen Contest. The casting was held in Haute Spot retail store at White Plains mall where girls ages 15-21 were given a chance to meet the judges and make their own video for the contest.

L.e.i. stands for “life, energy, and intelligence,” and judges are hoping to find a girl who meets these criteria. I spoke to Allan Ellinger, Chairman of Fashion Delivers, who said there are no height or weight requirements, he is looking for a girl with poise, someone who is self-confident, presentable, and is not camera shy. Allan said that he is happy that size 6 models are now in demand, “this is what people want to see because this is how an average woman looks like.” The winner will walk away with $100,000 college scholarship, but what about the modeling career? “The girl will have to be aggressive and be put in the right hands,” said Allan. Fashion Delivers, a national charity, is playing a big role in this contest; they are encouraging young girls to donate a new product to benefit the charity.
