Pampers new Thank You Nurses program celebrates the essential role nurses play during the first few minutes, hours and days between newborns and their parents. Whether it’s nervous first-timers who appreciate a guiding hand on how to care for their new baby, or experienced veterans who could use some new tips, nurses form a trusting bond with new parents to help them care for their newborns and encourage healthy development right from the start.
I think anyone that’s ever had a baby or been around a newborn in the hospital knows all to well how essential and wonderful nurses really are (especially when you leave your little one so you can get some well-deserved sleep)! There were about 5 nurses each time I had a baby that were so awesome and went above and beyond to help me out during my time of need. Lifesavers and angels to be sure.
As a tribute to all the things nurses do for babies and their parents, Pampers Swaddlers, in partnership with the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), is launching the “Thank You Nurse Awards,” honoring Labor & Delivery nurses, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurses and Postpartum nurses!
I love it! A real award for really important people! That’s the good stuff!
Three nurse finalists will be selected and featured in short documentary videos showcasing their unique and inspirational stories. Then, in March, Pampers will invite parents to watch these three nurse documentaries and vote on a grand prize honoree who will be announced during National Nurse Appreciation Week in May. This grand prize nurse honoree will be featured in an upcoming Pampers advertisement that will be placed with the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses.
In addition, Tongal, Pampers digital partner hosting the Awards, is offering the folks who make the three winning nominations, $2,000 each – not a bad bonus! And, Pampers Rewards members receive 25 points for a nomination. Not too shabby all around I’d say!
Pampers is inviting parents, friends, family, and co-workers to share their stories of nurses who helped make life #betterforbaby by submitting a nurse nomination at www.tongal.com/pampersnurses. Nurse nominations will be accepted through Noon Pacific Time on December 14, 2015. Nurses are also welcome to nominate themselves or their colleagues.
Get those nominations in!!! Say Thank You to all the wonderful nurses in your life!!
