My daughter has to get on her school bus at 7:45. We all wake up around 7:00. That doesn’t give us much time to manage breakfast for three kids and two dogs. Full disclosure – sometimes I head to the bus stop in my pajamas. NOT GOING TO LIE! But most days, I try to have my act together before facing other humans. This means washing my face, brushing my teeth and throwing on a bra.
Yes, your welcome.
We all don’t have time. I know. I KNOW. Believe me. Especially with a newborn. I get the concept of being without a second to spare. But I have such terrible skin that I can’t relax my skincare routine. It has to happen on a daily basis or else I get catapulted right back to high school Freshman year.
So, here’s the quick and easy. It’s all doable. I promise.
First, tie back your hair and wash your face. Give it a good cleaning. The Olay Pro-X Microdermabrasion Plus Advanced Cleansing System has everything you need in one punch. In the morning, I like to use the slowest speed because I don’t have any makeup on from the night before. I’m just getting rid of excess oil that my skin produced overnight.
Grab a cotton ball and do a quick swipe around your entire face and neck with toner. Yup – I said toner. Why don’t people use toner anymore? I just don’t understand! I am OBSESSED with Mario Badescu’s line. The Aloe Vera toner reduces redness and irritation while removing pore-clogging residue from the skin.
Dab a little Vitamin C on your skin. No more than 3-4 drops. Helps with hydration. The brand I have is WAY OVERPRICED. I bought it at a salon and I won’t support it online.
Then top it all off with Pond’s Luminous Finish BB+ Cream. This all-in-one not only will give you perfect coverage and a great glow, but it also includes SPF which you should be wearing year round anyway. Talk about a bang for your buck!
Honestly – this process takes me about 5 minutes. If I don’t have time to put on mascara, I just throw on a pair of sunglasses and I am good to go. As long as my skin looks good, I feel good and that’s where it all starts, right? From the inside – out.
What does your morning routine look like? How does your bus stop run look? Do you get ready to face your day? Or are you a “run out in your pajamas” kind of girl?
