Melissa d’Arabian Shares Her Favorite Sundae Recipe

This Memorial Day, three out of four moms plan to purchase ice cream for their family celebrations, making the cool confection second only to meat for the grill as one of the top items on summertime grocery lists. Just in time for the holiday weekend, Melissa d’Arabian, mother of four and host of Food Network’s Ten Dollar Dinners, has joined the fun by sharing her favorite sundae recipe with Walmart ice cream enthusiasts at

Melissa is just the first of four celebrity moms to reveal their signature creation online. Sundae aficionados can visit each Sunday through June 20 to discover the latest star-studded sundae recipe and recreate it at home.

Celebrity Chef Melissa d’Arabian’s Salty Crunchy Caramel Sundae

  • 2 Scoops Breyers® Smooth & Dreamy™ 1/2 the Fat Creamy Caramel Tracks Ice Cream
  • 1/2 Banana, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp chopped pecans
  • 2 Tbsp chopped pretzels
  • 1 Tbsp caramel topping

Top ice cream with banana slices, pecans and crushed pretzels. Drizzle caramel topping to create a lattice design. (Variation: my kids use small stick pretzels to poke into the ice cream and create a head of hair. Fun times!)
