Key Pieces Every Mom Must Own

The right coat: I’ve said it before and I will say it again. If you want to make an impression be sure to own the right coat! It’s the first thing your friends will see when you walk in the room. (Tulle – $85)

A tie front top: I’m not so good with jewelry. I know in order to avoid having to wear necklaces I need to find shirts that are interesting on their own. For a stress free (and accessory free) night – be sure to own a top with a tie front. (Tulle – $58)

A fitted pair of trousers: Yeah I said it. FITTED! Get yourself a pair of pants that you feel good in. If they are too loose you will lose your shape in all the material. (Tulle – $55)

A pair of flats for the evening: Don’t shine away from a little embellishment or shine. Shoes are one place you do not have to hold back with. (DSW – $39)

A great clutch: The one I chose for this post is a bit pricey but my point is that every woman needs a CLUTCH. They are so under-rated! You don’t need to carry the sink around and walking into a party with a clutch feels so much more GLAM than lugging around your day bag. (Endless.com $295)

The coat point is so true! I walked a fashion tradeshow yesterday in my new balance sneakers and my Burberry coat with some glam fur on the collar. Normally, I would never go to a tradeshow in sneakers. I felt totally presentable…I just couldn’t take off my coat!
