Halloween Fun With The Kids

Ok I lied. I said I was done with Halloween posts… guess not! Here are a few pictures from our Halloween festivities.

You all heard about the costume fiasco. Bill threw out the costumes by accident and we ended up having to get what was left in the store. Liam was ‘Thomas the Train’ which really worked out and Natalie wanted something pink.

Here’s Natalie’s “Barbie Fairy Princess” costume. All day long people were asking me – “What’s Natalie?” LOL! I kept saying “A girl in a pink dress?” Doesn’t matter – the kids had fun and we have something really funny to talk about for the next few years.

Sunday morning I hosted a Halloween brunch for some of my friends. Everyone came over and we tried our hardest to get all the kids in one shot. The only thing they wanted to do was go Trick or Treating!

You HAVE to take a look at Jeff – my friend’s husband. That barbarian costume cannot be beat! He was photographed for a local newspaper. I told him to start charging people $3 for a picture. He could have totally racked up!

After brunch a few of us headed over to an “Un-Spooky Walk”. Figured it would be a good way to break up the day. Otherwise the kids would be bouncing off the walls gearing up to go trick or treating. The weather was great and the kids had a blast.

Then Bill took the kids for a few hours to gather candy. I stayed behind and manned the front door. I watched ‘Underworld: Rise of the Lycans’ – but it took me about 4 hours to get through it. I kept having to pause the movie and get the door. It was comical.

How was your Halloween???

We had a wonderful Halloween! We went to friends and had dinner and then all the kids went trick or treating. It was cold out, but at least it wasn’t raining!

Your kids looked adorable! Glad to hear you had a good day as well. 🙂

This was the first year in AGES that we didn’t go. Our son decided that 12 was officially too old to go, so he stayed here and handed out candy.

I’m so glad you guys were able to find some costumes for the kids and all was well! 🙂
