Milly by Michelle Smith is always a fun collection to attend because unlike the gorgeous gowns at some of the collections that I will drool over from afar, Milly is both very wearable and at a price point that will actually make its way into my closet.
The Milly Fall/Winter collection, entitled “Illumination” was inspired by the beauty of urban landscapes at night and the inspiration translated into clean lines, sharp colors and fabulous holographic leather minis and bags. The color palate of the collection included brilliant cerulean blue, blacks accented with a bright pop of color or shimmer of iridescence and holographic material in shades of blue, teal, silver and pink. The silhouettes included lots of voluminous oversized tops paired with pencil mini skirts giving the collection a distinctly feminine feel with a slight relaxed tomboy edge.
This is the perfect collection for anyone who isn’t afraid to go bold, because let’s be honest, if a bright pink holographic leather mini skirt is wrong, who wants to be right?
