Caleb is getting used to grass. He is still unsure about the whole thing. Now that the weather is nicer, we are spending more and more time out in our backyard and my little boy won’t go far without shoes on. Instead, he sort of holds on tight to me as he curls his toes around the blades. I don’t think he knows what to think about the sensation. Is it good? Is it bad? Is it ticklish? Is it dangerous?
We are still assessing.
If I sit on the floor and hold him, then he is very comfortable on the grass. But if I take a few steps back, he gets very overwhelmed and starts to cry. It’s really sweet and innocent. In my mind, I’m thinking that it’s just grass… but to Caleb I supposed it could be a million things, right?
Either way, I’m sure in about a week, he will be running with the rest of his family. But for now, you will find him right by my side. And believe me… I’m not complaining.
