Daily Diary: Back To Couponing (Hey – I Have The Time)

I spent the entire day watching an Extreme Couponing Marathon yesterday and got all riled up once again over my coupon cutting. I had to stop once I got placed on bed rest but I’ve worked a deal out with my mother. She is going to come once a week to do it for me.

Now that’s a good mom!!! Maybe she’ll even start blogging about it herself.

So, last night I cleaned out my binder folder (filled with September coupons that have expired – it’s been that long) and snipped away from the stack of newspapers that were piled up in my dining room. Even printed a whole bunch. Today I have to organize them by type. Both my kids are FINALLY back in school as of today – so I have the time.

Can my mom handle it? WHO KNOWS! There’s a lot of pressure once you are on the front line – but I have confidence because she’s been food shopping for 40 years (and I am a really good list maker).

I was going to ask my husband to do it every Sunday… but he does so much already. I can’t put this burden on him. I figured my mom can come and also bring a few dishes of food for us for the week since it’s hard for Bill to cook dinner every night. Then she can spend the rest of the day with the kids.  Win – Win – Win?

In theory at least.

I’m super excited. We are going to start on the 18th. Woot! Woot!

In the meantime, I’m going to start my deals and steals up again. Look out for them daily!
