I’ve been wearing the OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch for almost two weeks now. I truly wanted to give it a fair shot before I gave my opinion of it on my blog. I know the FIRST question everybody is going to ask is how it compares to the Apple Watch and honestly, I cannot tell you. I’ve never owned a smartwatch before. I mean…I haven’t worn a REGULAR watch in about 5 years. I’ve just used my iPhone for telling time. So, putting a watch back on my wrist took some getting used to.
But the OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch isn’t just a watch. It does so much more. While I can’t say how much more or less it does than an Apple Watch, I can tell you what I thought about bringing it into my life as a consumer, a mom, and a woman.
Did it make my life easier? Did it provide more value? Will I continue to use it?
What Can I Do With My OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch?
Right off the bat, I wanted to start using the OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch to count my steps in the day. It automatically comes with this feature and I was desperate to find out what kind of movement I put in during waking hours. Prior to this accessory, I used to check the health app on my phone, but we all know how inaccurate that is. I mean, YES WE ARE ALL ATTACHED TO OUR PHONES…. but not really. My phone would capture half my steps – if that! A watch would be able to log much more.
I was finally able to see just how active I was every single day of the week and you know what? I am a snail. A SNAIL. I do not move. It was such an eye-opener for me. I like this accessory just for this piece of knowledge ALONE. I look at my OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch and get off the couch!! I walk around the house. I park a little further away. I volunteer to go and pick up the kids. My goodness! I am a potato.
If you don’t want to see how many steps you’ve walked, you don’t have to. That’s the fitness face. There are so many faces to choose from with the Michael Kors Access and you can do it all right from your watch interface. Just swipe to the right or left and choose one that works for you.
Have a trip coming up? An anniversary? A goal? Whatever it is – you can name it and date it. Then you can track just how far away you are from that particular date. I thought this was cute. I put my anniversary in there just to show you what it looks like. The hearts animate. It’s sweet. I would use this for vacations FOR SURE. As soon as I have one booked, I’m logging it.
Notifications Buzz On Your Wrist
I also like this feature as well. You decide what notifications you want to show up on your Michael Kors Access watch. When something comes through on your phone, your OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch will buzz and your screen will pop up with a little notification for you to read. You cannot click and read this entire email. But you can see a little highlight of what is going on.
Log Your Workouts
Apparently, there is something about iFit and working out and logging your workouts and burn rates. I’m not your girl with this – so sorry, I can’t tell you more than the fact that it exists. I saw that you can “start a workout” and my guess is that the watch will log the fact that you are in a workout and track your heart rate. But I don’t do those things… so that’s all I can figure out.
If you are connected to wifi, you can pick up the local weather on your Michael Kors Access. I love this feature. It also pushes out to a 7 day forecast. You can plan ahead with this little feature and I use it often. I am one of those people that obsessively checks the weather. So, I do like to have it at my fingertips at all times.
Reminders And Calendars On Your Michael Kors Access
I had a picture of my calendar here, but it had too much information about my children and their whereabouts. So, I took it down. Just know that you can easily access your Google Calendar. It pulls all your information up and allows you to see your full day with ease.
You can also set reminders using a separate screen. You can type them on your watch or through the app.
I have kids. Even if I’m not a runner, I’d find this useful. We stopwatch all types of things in this house. I like that this was one of the features that just came with the watch.
Can I Answer Calls On My OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch?
Yes and No. You can decline a call through your watch, but you can not pick up a call. You cannot speak through this watch. But you can reject. SO, it’s a two-sided answer. When I try to accept a call and hit YES on my watch, it then tells me to find my phone. So, I never choose to hit YES on my watch. I only decline calls.
Overall, What Are Your Thoughts On The OS By Google Michael Kors Access Runway Smartwatch?
I love the look and the feel of the watch. I am a rose gold wearing kind of girl. I love bangles and statement jewelry. So, the design is right up my alley. For what I want from this accessory, I will continue to wear it. I like that it tracks my heart rate and my steps. I like that I can check my calendar and set reminders. I also like that Google Assistant is built in to help me with whatever I need. So, at the end of the day, this is a good buy for me.
