The Huawei P10 Boasts A Phone Camera Like None Other: I Tested It And It’s Amazing #00

Yesterday, the Huawei P10 hit the streets, but not before I had a chance to play around with it during a press event a few days prior. As you know, my whole life revolves around pictures. I live and breathe photos. I eat them for breakfast. I travel around on them like a flying carpet. I … am an exaggerator.

But as a blogger and a mom, I probably take several hundred photos a day and no, that isn’t a lie. Whether I’m working on a campaign for a brand or trying to capture my son taking his first lap around the pool, moments matter. Capturing them in the right instant is… well, everything. A few seconds off and you miss it. The instant that will represent the feelings, the mood, the excitement, the adventure. Without a super responsive camera, life can become all but a blurry memory.

That’s why I was so happy to see just how quickly the Huawei responds to the touch. If you are an iPhone user, you know that you have to click several photos at once in an attempt to grab the second you want. There is a delay that can COST YOU. With the Huawei P10, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. Click and shoot at ease.

The Look And Feel Of The Huawei P10:

The P10 gets a 5.1-inch, 1080p display and a 3200mAh battery, while the P10 Plus has a 5.5-inch 1440p display and a 3750mAh battery. They both have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with an optional 6GB/128GB tier for the P10 Plus.

This was something I hadn’t thought of before as an Apple user. Adding additional storage with ease. WHAT? How utterly amazing – especially for an over-user like me. Odds are if you look at your life, you are also an over-user. Taking multiple pictures every step of the way. We don’t have to worry about the cost of film anymore. Those shackles have been lifted. Click! Click! Click!!!!

The Huawei P10 Camera Lense:

An all new Leica front camera captures 2x more light, offering amazing self-portraits, whether day or night. I played with this first hand, people!! You can take photos indoors and the camera will auto adjust the light to correct the darkness of the room. A quick snap in a conference room could have been used as a professional headshot. No, that isn’t a lie. We were all shocked when we had our first run with the HUAWEI P10 because I didn’t know it was possible to get those sort of results from a camera phone.

Ready for some serious magic? If you smile, the camera takes your photo. You don’t have to click the button. There is tech inside that registers the change in your face. SO, let me say that again. WHEN YOU SMILE, THE CAMERA WILL SNAP THE PHOTO! Think of the possibilities!! Set up the camera on the table across from you and your group, step back, and SMILE. No more fussing around with timers or selfie sticks. Keep it all! Just smile and let the Huawei P10 do the rest.

Another perk? It also registers the term,  “say cheese.” If you say those words, it will snap a photo. Mind. Blown.

Wait – I have one more. Let’s say you are taking a large selfie with a bunch of friends, the camera will automatically switch to a wide-angle shot when more people enter the picture. Capture unique selfies in Leica image style. I love technology!! SO very HARD!

HUAWEI P10’s large sensor captures 200 percent more light, offering dramatic color depth and range. You need to try it out!!

I had the chance to meet an artist who was asked to capture all that one can using the new Huawei P10 and her stills simply amazed me. Just look at the color depth and the professional feel of these two images. Josephine Meckseper certainly has the eye. She was certainly born with a gift. However, this phone allowed her to create such beautiful imagery with no post-export editing. Once the photos were exported off of the phone, they were not tweaked! These images were truly captured using the P10. Talk about taking your photography to the next level.

Huawei P10 Finishes:

HUAWEI P10 comes in three different finishes – hyper diamond-cut, high gloss and sandblast. There are also 8 colors for you to choose from: Ceramic White, Dazzling Blue, Dazzling Gold, Prestige Gold, Graphite Black, Mystic Silver, Rose Gold, Greenery
I’m a gold girl – so my eyes are on one of those. Huawei thought long and hard about these colors and even worked with the Pantone Colour Institute to come up with some of the material designs.  Thanks to the Pantone Colour Institute, Huawei is offering the P10 and P10 Plus in Dazzling Blue and ‘Greenery’. If you keep up with Pantone, you will know that Greenery is 2017’s color of the year. Great picks! I had a chance to visit the Pantone Colour Institute during my trip with Huawei and get a look behind their curtain. I now have a deeper appreciation for color and am going to try really hard to incorporate more into my wardrobe! No more black, grey, and white for me.
