So, school is out and the kids are home and everyone is together and life is great.
There’s nothing to worry about… they are getting along just fine. Right?
Everything is under control… everything.
Parents all over the country are doing everything in their power to keep their little ones entertained… and you are right in line with the bunch.
Even though you are utterly exhausted… you still push on.
But the kids just are never satisfied or entertained.
Your house is “the worst house everrrrrrrrrrr”!!!!!!
No matter what you do, the grass is always greener over at the Jones’ house for your children.
Blows the wind right out of your sail…
And just when you think it can’t get any worse, your kid starts to demand a better summer. You simply haven’t done enough. He/She is B-O-R-E-D.
Oh hell no.
It’s at this point every year that parents uniformly give up trying to over do it. They give up trying to impress the brood. They give up trying to overschedule.
They loosen up a bit, grab a few friends, and just RELAX. This is what summer is all about after all.
Then the kids are able to just be… kids. Parents stop meddling and kids start running free and getting dirty.
And THAT’S when the good times start to roll.
