What It Means To A Mom For Her Children To Start Summer Vacation
Today is the first Monday of the year that we didn’t have to run to make the school bus. It felt good. It felt real good.
Needless to say, I know we aren’t the only parents celebrating. Adulting can be hard.
All was right with the world… until the kids woke up and spent a few hours at home without anything to do. Things got weird.
So, we did what any normal parent would do…
We spent all our money on booking last minute camps.
Money well spent… on the kids… for their future.
But then we realized that we just put forth an insane schedule that we will now – once again – have to be in charge of.
Kids are in heaven. They’re going to learn how to make robots and iMovies, and play lacrosse, and swim and kick around a soccer ball. They are so thankful for everything that we do for them.
We. Are. So. Blessed.
Out of money. Kids crying. A schedule we can’t keep up with. And it’s freaking hot.
No matter. Parents know how to have fun in any situation. We are the party bringers.
Don’t worry. Back to School will be here before we know it.
