The Little Moments That Matters: 7 Steps To A Better You #Wholeblends #sk

Women do it all — there’s no denying that. I work all day, and as soon as I shut off that part of me, I have to jump right into the kitchen and help my kids with their homework while I’m cooking dinner. It’s a 24-hour job, and if there’s an off switch, I haven’t found it yet. Thank goodness I only have one speed — crazy.

I have learned over the years that in order to survive this life I have to cherish the precious moments, to stop and smell the roses. I have to take a deep breath, look my children in the eyes and tell them I love them with all my heart and soul at least a few times a day (even if their response is always, “I know, Moooommmmm!”).

When I want to find myself, nourish myself, and remember to honor my body and soul, I’ve found that the following ideas have led me in the right direction. It’s not always about the hustle and grind — this, coming from a workaholic.

Sometimes it’s just about recognizing that I’m important enough to care for on my own. If you are looking for ways to work toward a better you, I have seven easy life rules that can help you feel more confident, happy, beautiful, and free.

Take time to see your friends

I mean your actual friends, not adults that happen to be at pre-school pickup. See your girlfriends! Get a drink after work or grab a cup of coffee while the kids are in school, but connect and connect often.

Exercise — and make it part of your weekly routine

Can’t find time to get to a gym? No problem! Thank goodness for the Internet. Pick an instructor on YouTube, and do all of your workouts at home for free. You have no excuses. It will clear your mind, and you will feel so good about yourself — trust me.

Hang out with your mom

She misses you. You miss her. What’s the problem? If your mom is far away, call her, Skype her or text her. Just connect. This goes for anyone else in your family who comes top of mind as you’re reading this. If it’s your aunt who’s very special to you, give her a call instead. We all get busy, but don’t let that be an excuse. Remember, it’s just five minutes.

Pamper yourself

You deserve it: bubble baths, spa appointments, mud masks, you name it. Find time to squeeze in these indulgences, and recognize that these rewards are earned! All those hours spent on everyone else need to be balanced out with hours spent on YOU!

Garnier® Whole Blends™ chooses the specific ingredients and extracts that give each formula the ability to deliver wholesome loving care blended for naturally beautiful hair, with six different blends to choose from.

The Refreshing line with Green Apple & Green Tea Extracts revitalizes and boosts shine, exactly what my hair needs this time of the year. I’ve been SUCH a fan of this whole line, and my daughter agrees. The scents when you’re washing your locks and the texture of your hair as you’re drying are like no other — total luxury!

Don’t take yourself seriously

My best friend always loves to make fun of the fact that I’m an only child. She gets such a kick out of it, and I laugh at her laughs. It’s all in good fun. Find people who make you smile and stay by their sides. In short, loosen up.

Travel often

Even if it’s day trips out of your neighborhood, take them. Whatever you need to do, just get out of your normal routine and unplug. It will define you. Traveling the world has made me into the person I am today. All those experiences are engraved on my soul. Teach your children to have a passion for exploring as well.

Do things that are out of the ordinary — and out of your comfort zone

I was invited to attend Disney’s D23 Expo and dressed up every day while I was there. It was SO crazy for me to do, but I loved every second of it. Lots of laughs! Break your own shell.
