Fitness Journal #1: Daily Diary #disneyhalforbust

I mentioned last week that I set a MAJOR fitness goal for 2016 – I want to run the Disney Half Marathon. Now, this is coming from someone who can’t run to the bathroom without getting winded. I know that sounds like a joke, but I’m not kidding. I’m SO OUT OF SHAPE. But 2016 is all about me and I’m not saying that in a selfish way. It’s time to take back my life.

In order to stay accountable to myself, I brought back the daily diary. But as you know, I can’t get my husband into the filming aspect. So, instead, I’m going to keep it about me and this journey. My struggle. My accomplishments. My wins! My setbacks. I know it’s going to be A TEST – but I have to do this.

And I’m doing this for me. KNOW THAT.

But I’m also doing this for my children. I want to set a good example for them. I want to be someone that they look up and to believe in.

I’m can do things that I set my mind to. I started a business out of thin air in 2005 and have been the sole income provider for over a decade. My shoulders are strong. My will is made of iron. But I’ve never believed in my physical self. I’ve never trusted in my BEING. This year, it’s going to be body and mind.
