thredUP and AdoptAClassroom.org Want You To #RaiseAHand For A Special Teacher

    thredUP Classroom Collage

I love shopping on fashion resale site thredUP.com.  It has to be one of the easiest ways to save money on great Women’s and Kids’ clothing brands. I can also sell my clothes for cash (and to use to buy new clothes of course), kind of like an easy-to-use consignment store. I’m just all about being able to “magically” rework an entirely new wardrobe in the comfort of my own bed!

I also love shopping for Back-To-School on thredUP, too. They have all of my favorite kids brands, including GapKids, Janie and Jack, Lilly Pulitzer, Mini Boden, and Zara Kids with prices up to 90% off retail, so you don’t have to wait for the back-to-school sales to start to save a ton of money. It’s so easy and so convenient, you just can’t beat it!

As if this all wasn’t enough, when I learned that thredUP has partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org to recognize and thank teachers for their hard work and the positive impact they make each day on our children’s lives, I just had to spread the word! Did you know that, on average, teachers spend up to $500 of their own money every year on school supplies? 70% of teachers have even purchased apparel items like jackets, socks and shoes for their students. That’s crazy, right! They need some help, so AdoptAClassroom.org partners with a teacher to ensure students have what they need to succeed. I’m all in!!

To really get you into this cause, and to give you some good feelings, just take a look at the inspiring nominations and watch an adorable video of kids thanking teachers at thredUP.com/Teachers. I just love these, they make you really appreciate what teachers really do for your most precious little ones!!

Here’s the basics for nominating a teacher that you love!

    • Nominate any teacher that you think is awe inspiring between July 15 – August 23 at thredUP.com/Teachers
    • Three teachers each will win $2,500 for classroom supplies and $500 to thredUP. 50 runner-up winners receive $100 to thredUP. Uh-may-zing
    • Winners will be announced on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, right after Labor Day

I nominated Mr’s McCarthy from Garden City for always getting the best of (and staying on top of) my son Liam!! Who will you nominate? I’m sure there are a ton you can think of, right?
