The Easiest Way to Refresh Your Wardrobe Without Breaking The Bank #mamaswappies #zerowaste

Spring is here! I’m super excited to bring my Spring clothes out of hiding. Over the last few years, I’ve tried being much more conscientious about shopping. I don’t shop fast fashion and I try to make meaningful purchases that would last me several seasons. Every few months, I try to purge my wardrobe of items I don’t want anymore and donate them. I honestly don’t need any more clothes but having something different is a great way to add a bit of spice to my everyday look. Enter Little Swappies. Little Swappies is a company that hosts clothing swaps. They started doing baby clothing swaps which, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to keep your kid looking cute without breaking the bank. Now, Little Swappies have started doing Mama Swaps. It’s not just for us mommies, though. The events are super duper fun. They invite companies with aligning missions in fashion and beauty so a swap ends up being a fun night out with the girls. I had so much fun at the last swap. I sipped on some much needed alcohol, checked out a braid bar by Priv and feasted on delicious food, all in an incredibly fabulous loft in New York. Before I show you the amazing items I got in exchange for the stuff I didn’t want, let’s delve a little bit into some of their brand partners.

Priv is THE coolest way to get glam. Going to the salon is so yesterday. Have a professional come into your home. This is especially great for me because of the baby. I can get glam without having to get him dressed and out of the house. Perfect!

I maybe had too many sips of the delicious Dutch’s Spirits. My nights out sans baby are rare so I indulged in this yummy alcoholic brand. They offered fun drinks throughout the night. Because what’s a room full of mamas without some alcohol? Let’s talk about Be Mixed. It’s a single serving mixer that has ZERO calories. They also use all natural ingredients so skip the unknown and still have fun. You’re going to love the cute bottles that are perfect for entertaining.

One of my favorite foods to nibble on that night was brownie lollipops from Angela’s Sugar Fix. She brought these ridic candy covered brownie confections. Perfection. Is all I have to say. They were so delicious and were really pretty. This is another item that’s great for entertaining because it looks so elegant.

After I perused the multi-story loft, the swap began. I thought it would be crazy but it was really fun. There was a stylist on hand to help if needed. There were shoes, bags, clothes. Tons of clothes. They donate all the excess to charity, though, so nothing goes to waste. Below are the items I picked out and took home with me. I got a chic black and white blouse, a perfect-for-Spring olive green hooded jacket and a grey dress with a fun back detail.
