Real Simple Beauty & Balance Event @realsimplelifestylers #rsbeautybalance

first

Real Simple celebrated their 15th anniversary with a Beauty & Balance event and it was the perfect way to end a Friday. They held barre classes, gave facials, makeovers and provided braiding. The evening ended with wine pairings. Real Simple held a simply lovely event and provided some much needed pampering on one of the first warm days of Spring.

Facial

The first step was to get a facial. RoC’s Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum promises to visibly reduce deep wrinkles. After 4 weeks, this serum promises to make skin more radiant, smooth fine lines and improve firmness. After 8 weeks, this serum reduces the appearance of Crow’s feet and signs of photodamage. After 12 weeks, deep wrinkles are visibly reduced. First, my makeup was removed. Then, my face was cleansed. The retinol was applied in soft strokes away from my eyes. A moisturizer with a sunscreen is the last step but a super important one. Retinol makes skin especially sensitive to skin damage so be sure to wear sunscreen.

Hair

Next, I had my hair braided with Aveda.  The stylist used Aveda’s Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil. My hair has seen lots of color so I needed a bit of something to quench my dried tresses. She applied this liberally to my hair and then did a stylish french braid.

Makeup

A min-makeover was next on the agenda, with Laura Geller. Laura Geller makeup sells at Ulta, QVC, Sephora and more. I was so happy to be introduced to this line. I got my makeup done a bit more glamorous since it was Friday night. Laura Geller has an immensely wide range of colors and choices for any makeup lover.

wine

Wine Pairings with Ghirardelli was the last on my list. We sipped red wine and played with flavors of cherry, vanilla and chocolate to match. Anytime I get to drink red wine and eat chocolate, I’m happy.

The Real Simple Beauty & Balance event was a true delight. It was such a pleasure to celebrate 15 years with them.
