The Body Shop And War Child USA Partner To Grant Children The Wish Of Education
I previewed The Body Shop 2014 Holiday Collection, in partnership with War Child. Jennifer Barckley, Director of Brand Communications & Values for The Body Shop, War Child USA Founder and President, Dr. Samantha Nutt, and Rachel Lovett, Managing Director of War Child USA were in attendance to talk about how The Body Shop and War Child partnered together.
War Child USA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting childhood in war-affected areas brought education, opportunity and justice.
War Child is excited to welcome The Body Shop as a partner this year to grant children the wish of education. For every gift bought this holiday season, no matter how big or small, The Body Shop will make a contribution that funds a class for a child in one of War Child’s programs. Through December 24th The Body Shop is aiming to provide more than 6 million lessons to children in war-torn areas.
War Child Founder, Dr. Samantha Nutt said, “In areas of conflict, getting a child back into school keeps them safe. Building their confidence, knowledge and skills opens the doors of opportunity. That’s why we have teamed up with The Body Shop this holiday season. Buy a gift, help a child. It’s that simple.”
So don’t leave it to the last minute, head to The Body Shop and make your holiday gifts extra-meaningful!
Take a walk inside The Body Shop and smell the amazing scents from the lotions, body butter, body wash, hand creams and scented candles. From cranberry, glazed apple, to vanilla brûlée just to name a few. There’s also this scent I am in love with for your body, lips and hair called Wild Argan Oil. I used to use the Coconut Oil in my hair from The Body Shop and this Argan Oil replace it. Amazing! There’s a Glazed Apple Tin full of yummy treats for only $20. Festive Body Moisture Trio for $16. The SchoolBook Of Peace with Glazed Apple products for $15. Shea Treats Gift Cube with mini bath and body treats for $9 or 2 for $15. Great for stocking stuffers. There’s so many scents to choose from it’s like walking in a bakery. The lip butters keep your lips soft all day. They are 2 for $10. I couldn’t decide what to pick so I chose one of each. I was also able to select gifts for my mother. She has no clue I have for her.
I had a great time learning about War Child and knowing my money will go to kids in need of education. The Body Shop has all your holiday gifts at great prices.
