Build-A-Bear Workshop Arrives In Times Square For the Holiday Season!

The Build-A-Bear Workshop, a wonderland of stuffed animals your child can make and dress themselves, has landed in Times Square for the holiday season. The pop-up store is located in the historic Brill Building (1619 Broadway) and will be open through early January 2015.

In an effort to give back to the community, the first 200 guests to the Build-A-Bear Workshop are invited to make a stuffed animal for free to donate to the 92nd Street Y, which promotes individual and family development and participation in civic life.

The Workshop experience is a truly special one unlike any other toy store; guests can choose from over 30 animals to make, and with the help of a Build-A-Bear associate, they will stuff their animal, give it a heart filled with wishes and make a personalized birth certificate for their new friend. Further customizing the experience, guests can choose from a wide selection of unique fashions and accessories, or by selecting a pre-recorded sound or recording their own message on a Build-A-Sound® chip.

Not surprisingly, the Build-A-Bear Workshop has added characters from Disney’s “Frozen” to the mix this season. Guests can choose from an Anna or Elsa stuffed bear or an Olaf snowman, with accompanying outfits and accessories. Don’t forget Olaf’s “Dreaming of Summer” sunglasses!

This holiday season, my only concern with visiting the Build-A-Bear Workshop is that my children will want to come home with one of every kind of furry friend! While there are a million toys out there to choose from, I appreciate the fact that visiting the Build-A-Bear Workshop is a unique, personalized experience for your child… and one they soon won’t forget. And it’s all about building memories, right? Happy shopping this season!
