Lands End Fall 2014 Jeanswear Collection: What She Wore Wednesday #Jeans101 With @LandsEnd
It’s Wednesday — you know what that means. It’s “What She Wore Wednesday“. Woot Woot! I love doing these posts. It’s a great way to rummage through my closet and mix and match styles I already own to create new looks for the blog.
Of course, we are thinking FALL already. In NY, it’s been a cool 77 the last few days and according to the weather, it will continue around that range. Even Mother Nature is ready for summer to end.
Today’s focus will be on the Lands End Fall 2014 Jeanswear Collection.
Here’s what I chose from the Lands End line. I started with this Women’s Military Anorak Jacket. I thought it was SUCH a great color and I loved how all the gold embellishments popped. I wear gold-colored jewelry, so of course I was drawn to this look. The cinched waist gives me a little curve and shape which I appreciate and it retails for $129.
I will be wearing this jacket all season long… literally.
Then for my jeans, I opted for Low Rise Slim Leg Jeans – in Medium Indigo Wash. I thought the wash color could be dressed up or down depending on my top and accessories and I loved how I was able to play with my booties and the length.
Starting at just $59.00 for solids and $69.00 for patterns, you can snag each of the new and refined washes, to take you from day to night. Here’s the thing about the Lands End Fall 2014 Jeanswear Collection — there are 3 distinct styles! Available in low rise, mid rise and high rise, so you’re guaranteed to find a pair that best flatters you. That means that you will be able to find the right fit to accompany every-body type. And if you are looking for stretch, these jeans have them. Thankfully, they provided me with a more forgiving fit.
After three kids … I say thank you, Lands End. Thank you.
I kept the same jeans on for my second look. I opted for a bright mint shell and paired it with this amazing Zip Ponté Jacket. SO PERFECT for nights out with friends, PTA dinners, teacher meet and greets, or a fun date night in the city with Mr. Man.
Again, I’m always looking for pieces that are versatile – each of these items from Lands End will fill my need on a few different occasion types.
What about accessories? Go for chunky and fun. Don’t think too much about your arm candy and necklace. Just put on something that has the same feel as the rest of your look. I kept it really simple with these two outfits – choosing long necklaces and one over-sized bangle for each.
