What To Give Up For Lent

Are you still trying to figure out what to give up for Lent? Ash Wednesday was yesterday. Audrey and I are still in the city because we are hosting a Britax event tonight. We had a ton of meetings this morning and decided to sleep in to make it a bit easier. In between them all, we found a church, got our ashes, and made our Lent promises. Now, when you hear what I gave up for Lent this year… you aren’t going to understand it at ALL. But trust me – it’s a BIG ONE. Well, it’s a big one for ME. I feel like Audrey gave up A LOT. I mean, I almost fell off the bed when she said her picks out loud. WOAH!

What To Give Up For Lent

In case you are stuck in a rut and unable to decide what you should give up for Lent, I wanted to help you out in some small way. Here are a few suggestions to help you get on the right path. Use them as guidelines or markers to get your brain sparking ideas of your own! You really don’t have to give up anything for Lent. You just have to do better, be better! That’s the true test. Can you be a better person? The whole point of Lent is to prove that you are able to sacrifice like Jesus did for us. But didn’t he sacrifice enough? In my heart, I feel like if we all were just a bit kinder during Lent, perhaps it would carry on for the rest of the year and then throughout the rest of our lives. In the end, does the cake really matter?

But look – the truth of the matter is – I came back to this post many years later and added these words because I am a changed woman. I don’t really want to give up. I want to be MORE. So, I want to give you TWO suggestions. What to give up for Lent and what to add to lent! How about that!
