Reem Acra is always a Fashion Week favorite for me because you are guaranteed to see a dazzling array of fabulous gowns and this season was no exception. The inspiration for this collection was following an elegant woman through a night in Paris. The collection opened with pencil skirts and bejeweled cardigans in dark shades with subtle iridescent accents and progressed to gowns with sheer bodices embellished with crystals. The gowns all showcased flowing silhouettes as the collection transitioned from pencil skits and silhouettes to glittering gowns in muted shades of plaitnum, pastels and metallics with the occasional punch of purple to add just the right amount of sophistication and oomph. The finale featured two gowns in ravishing red that were the perfect punctuation to another amazing collection from Reem Acra.

Some of my favorite looks from the Reem Acra show were the brilliant purple dresses (pictured below). I am a fan of all things purple, and Reem Acra showcased the perfect hue of purple that is both rich and elegant.
