Are You Doing Your Own Nails? I Hope So!

Earlier this year, I started to do my own nails and I am so happy that I did. Not only am I saving around $40 a MONTH but I am having fun experimenting with color.

Just to be clear — I’m not talking about feet people. My puppies need drills and saws and all type of equipment to smooth them out. Just my hands. lol

Last night, after the kids went to sleep, I decided to match two different polishes I own: CoverGirl EverBloom and Nicole by OPI Our Fuchsia’s Lookin’ Bright.  Originally, I tried to do polka dots on my ring finger… but failed miserably. So, instead I just covered the entire nail and called it a night.

At least I tried right?

I will go back every now and then to the salon to get a proper cuticle cut. But for the time being, I’ll just do my manicures on my own in my kitchen. 🙂

How about you? Do you do your own nails?

  1. Interestingly enough I prefer to do my own pedicure instead of my nails…they chip so much when I do them.

  2. I’m never had a manicure on my own nails. I’ve had Acrylics before a few times. I like to paint my own nails because it gives me the freedom to change my polish often.
