6 years ago today we welcomed my first son into the world. It was the BEST delivery I had out of the three. I spent 2 months in the hospital on bed rest with this boy and we shared a very special moment I will never forget.
During one of the VERY lonely nights, I started to cry. And in my room while I was by myself I sighed and said, “I’m so alone” out loud. My husband had my daughter in our house and I only got to see them one hour a day because of his work schedule.
Well, at that very moment, Liam kicked me. It was as if he was saying, “YOU AREN’T ALONE MOM! I’M RIGHT HERE WITH YOU.”
It shocked me. I stopped crying and hugged my belly and told him that he was right. I wasn’t alone. I had my boy with me. And so the rest of my stay in the hospital just wasn’t that bad because it was me and Liam doing it together.
And so now, 6 years later, I am still blessed enough to have that little boy by my side.
We have a fun-filled day planned for him. Birthday party this afternoon and lots of good stuff in between.
