Having Fun At The Kids Food Festival At Bryant Park
Attended a fab event this weekend – Kids Food Festival – a weekend event focused on educating families about making balanced food choices in partnership with The Creative Kitchen and CookingLight. Because we all know these days, it’s so important to introduce and encourage healthy eating habits for our children especially with all the fast food and candies out there.
There were so many great things happening at the festival. I thoroughly enjoyed checking out the various cooking and food demonstrations and food sampling at vendor booths. Kids were definitely not bored with all the fun activities to participate in from a scavenger hunt to decorate your own bags and aprons.
Kids had a chance to get their hands on making spiced gluten free waffle stix with fresh berries with CATCH’s Executive Pastry Chef Thiago Silva.
To encourage some exercise, the kids also participated in some yoga with Karma Kids Yoga.
And did you know Plum Kids had so many products?
Here are some of the amazing vendors I discovered:
Dinnerware and cooking gear for kids from good seeds, LLC – cute little chef hats and aprons for your kiddos! And yummy organic whole milk kefir yogurt from ProBugs
Organic juice drink pouches from Honest Kids
Yummy lunch boxes from In’ Box and healthy gummy treats from GNT
GNT was also making hummingbird feeders using their natural food coloring from real fruits and vegetables
And of course, no kid event is complete without a guest appearance! The kids were so excited to meet and take a photo with Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba
