Banana Boat’s 101 Days Of Summer Play

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of checking out Banana Boat in Brooklyn. They held an event to launch their 101 Days of Summer Play Activity Guide. Parents can go on the Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bananaboatbrand) and commit to the 101 Days of Summer Play. Banana Boat offers 101 activities to do with your kids over the summer to prevent the dreaded summer boredom. For every pledge, Banana Boat will donate one bottle of sunscreen to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, the Connecticut camp founded by Paul Newman in 1988 for children coping with cancer and other serious illnesses.

Banana Boat Sunscreen offers great options for you and your kids. I slathered it on liberally yesterday since it was almost 90 degrees outside. You can get the Natural Reflect Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 50+ Broad Spectrum. It is 100% naturally sourced sunscreen with Zinc Oxide. It’s also Paraben and PABA Free. This sunscreen is ideal for the beach because it’s water resistant. Banana Boat offers this sunscreen in a Tear Free, Sting Free option for Kids. There’s also one for babies, so you can protect the entire family.

I learnt yesterday that it’s also important to apply sunscreen below your clothing, for added protection. Be sure to check out Banana Boat’s Facebook page for details on the 101 Days of Summer Play Activity Guide and Pledge.
