Flip Neapolitan Pizza: Classic Tastes And Affordable Prices
Heaven forbid a restaurant opens up in my neck of the woods and we don’t go visit it during the first week of business. Bill can’t FUNCTION until we get there and test out the menu. That’s what I get for marrying a foodie. 🙂
He seriously practically IMPLODED with excitement as we drove to this one.
This one has been open for a few months (GASP) but we can finally rest easy knowing that we officially tested out FLIP – a Long Island pizzeria focusing on Neapolitan cuisine. The wood burning oven was imported from Italy and the pizzas are not to be missed. Though, if I’m being honest, I would have liked mine a bit more… charred. I like my pizza WELL DONE. It’s my fault for not asking them to heat up my pie a bit longer as I am sure they would have done it no problem. No one else at my table seemed to mind – so maybe it was just me.
Yes, it tastes as good as it looks!
If you live near Mineola – be sure to check out Flip next time you are in the market for a pie.

I was by your blog earlier and saw this photo. I thought “Darn. I shouldn’t have come by here when I’m hungry.”
Now I’m back. Dinner has been served. Dessert too. And I’m still ogling the picture. I think it’s just because it looks that good.
