Daily Diary: Behind The Scenes Of My CVS Shoot, Some Birthday Love And An Unexpected Eye Exam

This isn’t the most flattering picture of me, but I only had one to work with and I wanted to post about yesterday’s video shoot with CVS. I am part of their “Holiday Savings Squad” and one of the program requirements was to shoot a little commercial (for their website) at MY local CVS. I thought that was hilarious!!! It took a few hours because I’m not the best at memorizing lines… but they were really good about the whole thing.

Apparently, there is going to be a blooper’s reel. I’m almost scared to see it. Ok, I’m really scared to see it.

After I got home, a friend came over with a little surprise. I’ve been helping her start a new business and she brought me flowers!! She also took me out to eat for lunch. I told her she didn’t have to give me flowers ON TOP OF the lunch – but she said she was so thankful for all my help. I thought that was the sweetest thing. I love being surrounded by good eggs.

Now onto Liam. When he came home from school he showed me this picture he made. They were learning about owls, so I think he drew Natalie as an owl which is not what I’m focusing on, but I wanted to explain the wings to you.

“I am thankful for my sister.”

I could just cry. That’s how happy this picture makes me. All I want is for my kids to love one another and to be best friends until the end of time. This picture was so amazing to see. He could have said anything – but he chose Natalie. I want to frame it.

Oh, and what is a birthday celebration without an eye exam. Yes, Bill and I realized at about 4PM that my license expired… and I needed an eye exam…. PRONTO. I made the mad dash to the mall and the whole thing took less than 30 seconds. He made me read 5 letters three times and then stamped my card and sent me on my way.

I was like… really???? COOL!

For dinner we went to this nice steak house and enjoyed some adult time. Great food and GREAT atmosphere. The place was PACKED. It took 15 minutes to get our car valet. Then when we were leaving the line of cars trying to get into the restaurant was AROUND THE BLOCK. We both couldn’t believe it!!! What a money maker!!

I don’t have any pictures because the place was so nice I actually felt FUNNY taking some. I don’t like restaurants like that!!! LOL!!!

That’s it for today
