Duri Brings You a Healthy Fashion Week Manicure

Its New York Fashion Week! Its one of the few times of year that I make sure my nails are perfectly done because going to the shows requires a little bit of extra dressing up. And just in case, you know, a hand model breaks a nail and I need to step in. I’m all about things that are good for me and my body so I’m pretty excited to tell you about Duri’s Autumn Nail Color Collection.

Duri Nail Polish is DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde-free. I visited the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics’ website and found out about these three guys so that I could tell you why they’re bad for you (Click here if you want to read about it yourself). DBP is a reproductive and developmental toxin, which means if you’re preggers, you should make sure your kids don’t inhale this stuff. Toluene is also a reproductive and developmental toxin. It also affects the Central Nervous System and can cause headaches, dizziness and fatigue. Formaldehyde is a human carcinogen and can lead to skin irritation. Most nail polishes contain these three bad boys. Luckily, Duri does not. That way, you can focus on the important stuff, like which color looks best with your outfit.

For Fall, they launched the Wine Tasting Party Collection, inspired, of course, by your favorite drinks. There’s Cognac, Bloody Mary, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Dragontini and Grape Swirl. These are done in shades of luscious reds, warm plums and sensual maroons. Deep colored nails are on trend this fall. The great thing is that these can also be work-appropriate and go with many outfits.

You can try Duri yourself by going to They’re only $5 a pop. They also have a really cool FREE nail color and treatment app for Androids and iPhones, where you can virtually try on these colors before buying them.
