Daily Diary: Labor Day Weekend

Here’s a quick recap of this holiday weekend.

On Thursday, Bill decided to put together our hammock. You know, the thing we bought in JUNE. It’s a good thing we are so on top of things – because now we have the whole summer to use it. πŸ™‚

Then I took Natalie to get her hair cut. I’m tired of fighting her every night with a brush.

We went short but I love it! She does too.

Of course Liam got a cut too.

Sunday we went to a Labor Day party in town. It was a lot of fun. BBQ food, fake tattoos and more.

Did I mention fireworks?

And rides?! The kids had a blast.

On Labor Day we ran a few errands and then headed to the grocery story for some hamburgers and hotdogs. We parked outside of the supermarket and I decided it was too much effort

So we opted for some crepes instead. πŸ™‚

We took the kids to Barnes and Nobles so they can play in the kid section and then Liam had a melt down because I wouldn’t buy him a Nook. You know, the thing I already own that he plays with at home? Sigh. I thought it was cute that Natalie consoled him though.

And that’s it! Lazy. Quiet. Local. Just how I like to spend a holiday weekend.
