Looking To Shed A Few Pounds? Snack On Unsweetened Applesauce
I’ve completely fallen off the wagon this past week. Wait. Correction. I’ve fallen ON TOP of the wagon, shattered it to pieces and then used the wood to make fire. Yeah, it’s that bad.
Not only do I weigh MORE than I was BEFORE I started Weight Watchers, but I’ve lost any desire to start counting points again.
WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN? UGH
Today, is a new day. The moment I woke up, I shook the Twinkie sensation I was feeling right out of my brain and headed for some Kelloggs and rice milk. Then I snacked on unsweetened applesauce before lunch and I remembered that yes, it is possible to eat great tasting food while still losing weight.
My husband buys this organic brand which I can’t remember the name of at the moment, but it combines the unsweetened applesauce with other fruit like mango and peach. I enjoy those combos, but my absolute favorite flavor that’s on the market is Granny Smith Apples from Motts. I can’t find it in a jar – only in the 6 pack of cups. I think it’s on sale this week at Stop N Shop if you live near one – 2/$4.
Each cup is about 50 calories and it will tame that sweet tooth – TRUST ME.
